It is a bit different than the one my mother said to my sister and i about not letting the bugs bite!
Good night,
Sleep tight,
Wake up bright,
In the morning light,
To do what's right,
With all your might.
I used two coordinating scrapbook papers - one that conveniently had assorted stripes - so they were easy to cut out the borders. The whole piece is done on the back of an 8 by 10" stretched canvas, which creates a shadow box effect. I did one of these before you can read about it here. There are really fun and easy - try it yourself!

Such a lovely canvas creation AND the little verse is delightful as well!
Diane, this is GORGEOUS! I love using the back of a canvas in that manner, and you've made use of it so well. (the other) Diane

Lovely! using the BACK of the canvas is something I would not have thought of! the scrapbook paper borders are a wonderful folk art accent to your shadow box images.
